The Sail Loft

Directions

By car, from Plymouth take the A38 across the Tamar bridge and continue on until you reach Trerulefoot roundabout. Take the first exit off the roundabout onto the A374 to Looe and Torpoint. Travel for approx 1.2 miles then turn right onto A387 to Looe. At Widegates continue on the same road which becomes the B3253 and takes you into East Looe

On entering East Looe vehicular access to Quay Street through the Quay Car Park is no longer available as the Harbour Authorities now restrict entry to the fish quay by a key operated bollard system.

If you park in the harbour car park you can walk your luggage down the quay to the Sail Loft. Alternatively, the closest drop off point for your luggage will be to enter Fore Street and follow the one way system through East Looe, out through Higher Market Street and along Church End where you will arrive on the lower quay. Turn right and drive up the quay until you arrive at the entrance to Buller Street (Robbie's Ice Cream Parlour). Here again vehicular access to the quay is restricted but you can temporarily wait on the harbourside of the quay to unload your suitcases. Do not stop on the designated parking spaces, which are numbered, as the Harbour Authorities are very enthusiatic in giving out penalty tickets for any unauthorised vehicles parked on their property. Best advice would be to leave someone with the car while you take luggae to Sail Loft. Quay Street and the Sail-Loft is about 50 yards further along the quay beyond the Trawlers & Sail Loft restaurants.

Permanent parking is available in the quay car park or over the bridge into the main Mill Pool car park. These are pay and display car parks, weekly rates are usually available, ask the attendants in the car parks. Free on road parking is available in Marine Drive in the Hannafore residential area, around the coast from West Looe. We can offer a free transfer service from the Sail Loft to/from your car on the Saturday of your arrival/departure - please contact Melissa if you want to take advantage of this service.
